The soundtrack to the original 1978 Dawn of the Dead movie was composed by Goblin, who is more known for scoring Dario Argento films. Goblin lended a hand in this one with stock music filling in between their contributions. As a result we got a score that is a combination of dread, whimsical, and downright goofy.
The track that I think stood out to everyone is what is called The Gonk. It was even reused in the Robot Chicken TV series with chicken noises taking the place of the original beats. You can hear The Gonk below.
A classic horror soundtrack that stands the test of time, and all horror fans are a fan of.
Till next time, stay safe and stay scared!!
