Night Swim(Review) - Gruesome Gazette

How would a movie play out about a haunted swimming pool? For those who are aquaphobic, it would not be a very fun time. Night Swim introduces some different ideas of supernatural threats of the water kind but was pretty meh for the most part.

The plot see a family move into a house that has an abandoned swimming pool, and decide to use it only to discover it hides dark secrets within its waters.

The father who is suffering from neurological disorders finds himself be mysterious healed the more he swims in the waters. The kids are the ones who have spooky encounters in the water and find out something is not right.
Eventually a backstory is given as to why this is all happening and it contains the only part of the movie that I found to be creepy. There’s mention of sacrifice and the father ends up possessed as he battles to keep his family alive.

I thought this one was pretty okay, but not much to really have an impact. It was produced by James Wan but even that wasn’t enough to have much of a spooky factor. If you want to check it out for yourself, it is currently streaming on Peacock.
