Hell House LLC(Fearful Found Footage #4)(Review)

Definitely for the found footage horror genre, it does remarkably well in the paranormal setting. I think it is due to involving the audience to the point they experience palpable fear. That is the case with Hell House LLC and this one is very much an underground cult classic.

The story told through interviews and documentary style is about a group who decides to open up a haunted attraction at the Abaddon Hotel. It ends up being a tragic night and we spend the movie seeing everything that led up the opening night.

This one will definitely having you feel palpable fear. When things start kicking in, the terror level goes up to 11. What doesn’t help is the creepy clowns that seem to move of their accord. Yep there are clowns because of course there is Then we have the absolutely ballistic and nail biting ending.

There is a lot of mystery here that gave fertile ground to be explored another time. Also, lore being developed that led to a successful trilogy of films with a fourth entry coming out in October. I think what made this such a highlight was how it’s presented with not knowing what is going on exactly and being in the thick of the happenings. The spirits are absolutely not friendly and anyone who crosses the threshold of the Abaddon Hotel is not left unscathed.

This one is favorite of mine, and the sequels are amazing as well. It will definitely stay in your mind well after watching. If you haven’t seen it yet, it’s currently streaming on Shudder, Tubi, and Amazon Prime.
