Naked Lunch(Review)

I have watched very weird movies to the point it’s like I’m experiencing a psychedelic experience just without any substances involved. I finally got to watch Naked Lunch, and it is a pure example of those types of movies.

We are watching protagonist Bill Lee as he is under the influence of pretty potent bug spray and then decides to experiment with a new drug derived from centipedes. He has some pretty bizarre hallucinations to say the least.

Being this is Cronenberg movie, you can expect the same horniness and body horror that he is known for. There is a definite homoerotic presence in this film. The imagery that you will see is definitely mind-bending. I can’t count how many times I found myself muttering WTf during my viewing.

I can’t say I wasn’t warned because the tagline of this film is “Exterminate All Rational Thought” and it is absolutely required that you do that going into this film. But if you are wanting to brave the experience, then you will find yourself in something so wonderfully bizarre that you can’t pull away from.
