Slotherhouse(Happy Halloween #20)(Review)

Let’s face it, if it wasn’t for a killer sloth, this would be another generic b horror movie. Slotherhouse is pretty dull for the most part and its pretty clear who the real star of the movie is.

The story sees a sorority sister who adopts a sloth as a way of winning the popularity vote as new president. However her choice dooms them all when the realize the sloth is out for blood.

The sloth is very cute yet deadly. This thing is also like a terminator because it just can’t be stopped. Stab it, shoot it, the thing keeps coming. The sloth demonstrates human intelligence with using social media, driving a car, and even speaking at one point. The rest of the movie will bore you to tears with the drama betweebthe sorority sisters. They make pretty dumb decisions, some that understandly piss the sloth off more. You will find yourself begging for them to be killed off.

The kills that happen are pretty cool and almost make logical sense as to the sloth being capable of executing them. There’s a final showdown where you think the sloth has finally been bested..except to show it survived to live another day. Which mostly likely means a new franchise is poised to take the world by storm.

Yeah I pretty much adored the sloth, rest of the movie and cast didn’t offer anything special to me. It was your basic B-horror slasher in my opinion. If you want to see for yourself, this film is currently streaming on Hulu.
