There's Something In The Barn(Happy Horrordays #23)(Review)

Imagine my delight when I learned there is movie has qualities similar to frantic energy of Gremlins. There’s Something In The Barn was definitely a Cryptmas gift that kept on giving. There’s just so much to say why this one was fast tracked to top of my list of holiday horrors.

The story sees a family relocate to a family farm in Norway unaware they are unwelcome visitors and a mischievous Barn elf plots on ways to get the intruders.

So yeah the father is basically useless. They are given three rules. No bright lights, no loud music, and no changes. The son is the one who encounters the elf and at first it seems they have a good coexistence. Then the family just breaks all the rules, and final straw is when the elf is presented with a unappetizing snack.
It’s at this point, the movie really just spun into chaos. There were multitude of elves just getting drunk and destroying shit. The battle between the family and elves was an all out bloody brawl. I was having a blast just enjoying what was transpiring on the screen.

And did i mention this movie has heart?That is definitely a theme, and leads into the ending which will show if there can ever be a truce.

Oh yeah, this is one of those holiday horrors that yeah if you love Gremlins, you’ll see a lot of those qualities. It’s absolutely a holiday horror. And it’s just a lot of fun. There’s just so much to love about it. It’s currently streaming on Netflix and you should definitely check into it.
